Nice Little Box

We bought 73 of these little guys (72 of them from another vendor). We are using them as a kind of "Thin Client" computer with XP Pro SP2. We installed PING on a small partition so we can re-load a clean image quickly and easily. (We are also...

Extremely Versatile; Dual-Core with Hyperthreading; XP Drivers; Small, Quiet, Low-Power. Uses Standard 3.5" Hard Drive. Comes with Wall-mount kit

Uses SODimm Memory. Hard to find this model on MSI's website. Uses external power-brick. Only two USB ports on back and two on Front

Nice

I built mine as a headless WHS server that lives in a closet for media serving and backup. I put in 2 GB RAM and a WD 750GB Green drive. I wanted to go small and power efficient and this certainly fits the bill. I'm ok with only a single drive bay...

Low power use, quick enough, small, quiet, solid ; Runs Squeezebox Server and servs my 21,000 mp3 collection with ease

With WHS installed, I have gone through all the drivers I can download for ti and I still have one "Unknown device". It doesn't seem to affect performance. so it's really a minor annoyance ; Also installing the RAM is not simple, but it's not difficult...

Fantastic mini-pc

While not a laptop MB, It's obviously based on a laptop design...memory on the bottom, 200 pin dim, mini express slot, external power supply, compact design. If it took a 2.5" HD, you could fit the thing in a netbook case. ***Things I wish I'd known...

Fits my needs perfect...using for a kitchen PC, so no optical drive needed. Runs quick for basic tasks with max memory. Fantastic for a headless design. Super quiet too...can't even tell it's running. 4 USB ports is nice, since it's really the only way...

Any cons are simply because of the form factor. If you're buying this system, you know it's going to be a tight fit. And you do need a magnetized screwdriver, but I wouldn't build a PC without one

Great PC

I've been using this for a few months now as a Slackware Linux server. It works great, although it took a very long time to install the OS due to me having to install over FTP. It wasn't an issue with the hardware, it was an issue with the OS and my...

Quiet, small, adequate CPU

Screws are small, really requires a magnetic screwdriver to reassemble

Nice Little NetTop

At the time of this writing, there was NO indication that the memory was SO-DIMM. I had purchased a standard DDR2 DIMM and had to return it. The cost to return a memory stick to NewEgg was about $12. I haven't had a chance to use this yet (because of...

Regular Sized 3.5" desktop Hard Drive, No Sata cables required -- Drive plugs straight into Motherboard. Also has nice mounting bracket to mount to a wall or to a standard Monitor Mount

Yes, the SO-DIMM memory goes into the bottom of the motherboard. You need to remove 7 screws to take out the board (was not hard--I did not have to bend the board)

Poorly designed Nettop

I have several other nettops like the Revo and eeebox and those products are far superior.

Inexpensive

NIC was only intermittently working and now appears dead. Also, the RAM slot is on the BOTTOM and motherboard cannot be removed without seriously flexing it. Also, the case cannot be opened without removing the serial number sticker. This is a very bad...
