Battery is same age as laptop - CC06XL, which is the 6 cell battery with longer life. Depends on how good the previous owner treated it. Not a big deal, though, if necessary, replacement batteries aren't expensive.

Nice bright screen, everything worked as expected ......... Except (see the "cons" below)

The machine wasn't able to recognize that it had a battery installed and acted as if it were a DOA until I applied the long series of Microsoft updates. All is just dandy now.

Had it shipped either time with a working battery the rating would have been much higher. Hard to tell it's a refurb.

A laptop unable to be used away from an electrical outlet kind of defeats the whole point of having a laptop.

This is a great laptop for anyone that needs a very basic machine and is working on a tight budget. Comes with a genuine license for Win 7 pro (64). Perfect for basic office/small business use (document creation, editing) and internet browsing
